The third meeting of the Steering Committee, which was established within the framework of Istanbul Seismic Risk Mitigation and Emergency Preparedness Project (ISMEP) to oversee project implementation and provide strategic guidance, was held on December 04, 2006 under the chairmanship of Governor Muammer GULER.

    Representatives from Governorate of Istanbul, Istanbul Special Provincial Administration, Governorates Provincial Disaster Management Center, Project Coordination Unit (IPCU), Turkish Treasury, Prime Ministry State Planning Organization, Prime Ministry Turkish Emergency Management General Directorate, Ministry of Public Works and Settlement, Istanbul Directorate of Surveying and Monuments, Istanbul Internal Revenue Office, Istanbul Provincial Administration of Public Works and Settlement, Istanbul Provincial National Education Administration, Istanbul Provincial Health Administration, Istanbul Provincial Social Services Administration, Istanbul Higher Education Credit and Hostel Institution Regional Administration, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Istanbul Provincial Security Department, Istanbul Provincial Command of Gendarmerie, Rectorate of Istanbul University, Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine, Istanbul University Cerrahpaþa Faculty of Medicine have attended meeting. The Director of IPCU K. Gokhan Elgin made a presentation on the progress of the Project and the agenda of the meeting.
